Good Day to Each of You!
It’s looking more like Spring these days...I hope I didn’t just jinx it. I’m ready to get outside and soak up some sunshine.
The Winter, especially the 724-day long January, found us learning more about shared drive migration using Sharegate. This presentation by our very own Jeni Crummey should have answered any questions you may have about the process. She put a lot of time and effort into the AECI clean-up and migration, so her knowledge is first-hand. February’s presentation was given by MEM’s Tim Myers, their top-notch IT Operations Manager. Safety and security should be a constant in the management of data. Tim brought up factors that many don’t consider, which was greatly appreciated. As my parents used to ask, “What did you learn today?” I’ve learned that you can teach an old dog new tricks. Thank you, Jeni and Tim.
Along with the nicer weather comes the lower risk of snow-covered roads, so we’ll once again venture out to our in-person meetings. Our March stop will be a tour of IMS Technology and Shredding in Mexico, Missouri. Brock Fuemmeler will be our guide through the IMS world, and I’m sure the adventure will also be stimulating to the brain cells. In April you can find us in the University of Missouri’s Museum of Anthropology in Columbia, Missouri. Records aren’t just pieces of paper or files stored on a drive. Historical information is invaluable assets from which we all can learn. We are looking forward to both events.
Please refer to our calendar for additional information. We’d enjoy having you tag along.
Thank you for visiting our website.
